Following his studies at the universities of Lausanne, Florence (Italy) and Geneva, Johannes obtained a Master’s Degree in current history and art history at the University of Lausanne in 2005. He subsequently completed his education at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, receiving in 2007 a DEA in international history and politics with a research on Swiss foreign policy in the Middle East in the 1960s-1970s.

Johannes’ main research interests focus on contemporary Swiss history, with a particular interest for the foreign policy of Switzerland during the 20th century. Johannes is currently working at the Swiss Delegation to the OECD in Paris. He is also coeditor of the newsletter « Swiss OECD Info ».
