The Pierre du Bois Foundation supports the study of the recent past, of historical yet on-going issues, and of the interaction between past and present. Within this context, the Foundation provides support to researchers who develop interdisciplinary approaches to Current History, using diverse and complementary sources. It thus intends to highlight - through the study of various specific subjects - the deep historical processes at work in the social, economical, political or cultural spheres.

The Foundation primarily promotes projects related to Professor Pierre du Bois' two preferred areas of research:

• Security issues
